KOFi a.k.a KOFi FAYA is one of the true and passionate worshipers that God is raising up in these end times. His love for God, ministry and people is undeniable. The Minneapolis- based singer, songwriter and producer is breaking out of the box of traditional gospel music. Kofi began playing drums, guitar and keyboards at early age and served as a music minister in many groups and churches in Africa and USA. His love for music is largely influenced by the legendary music genius Bob Marley and Lucky Dube, Morgan Heritage, Christafari, Miriam Makeba, Rebecca Malope, Jonathan Butler… just to name a few. Minister Kofi serves as Minister of Music at Speak The Word Church International (STWCI). His passion lies in leading the people of God into the throne room of grace through Praise and Worship. In 2008, KOFi founded KOfi & The Fire Keepers (Music band composed of talented and anointed musicians from different denominations). Since it’s inception, KOFi & The Fire Keepers, also known as TFK, has held strong to the great commission which admonishes all believers to “go into the whole world and preach the gospel to all creation”. TFK released it’s first debut album entitled Arise and Shine in August 2011. The project is comprised of smash singles such as “Arise and Shine”, “No more sorrow”, “Jesus loves you” and much more.
The second album “Here I am” was introduced to the public on August 18th 2012 in a live concert held at CCC (Christ Covenant Chapel) in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. KOFi & The Fire Keepers desire is to reintroduce and invite many to Jesus Christ. “He is the solid Rock on which we stand. All other ground is sinking sand.” Kofi’s boldness, unique sound and ability to infuse the gospel into his anointed music has captured audiences across the country. Always seeking to enhance his craft, KOFi is constantly learning, increasing his knowledge of music theory. His desire and passion to reach the world with his music is always growing; leading him to research and explore other genre of music and style. Above all, Kofi’s vision is to know Christ and make Him known.
